Laser Tattoo Removal
With the use of the latest in technology machine, a Q-switch laser is used, an electronic device for creating very short pulses of light. Energy is delivered in very short pulse of less than 10 nanoseconds. The energy is absorbed so quickly into the tattoo ink that it rapidly expands and explodes. The ink is mechanically broken down into fragments. These small fragments can pass between the fibres holding the tattoo and are then removed by the body’s immune system.
After laser fragmentation, gas bubbles form within the cells surrounding the tattoo, causing them to become white. The gases produced rise to the surface of the skin, causing a frosting effect plus small white blisters. It is usual to see a fading of the tattoo pigment a few weeks post treatment. However, many treatment sessions may be needed to remove a tattoo completely.
It is necessary to wait 6-8 weeks between each treatment to allow the skin to heal before the laser sessions continue. It is not possible to forecast how many treatments will be needed as everyone’s immune system varies. In some cases, the last fragments of a tattoo may prove resistant to the laser and 100% tattoo removal may not be achieved.
Laser Hair Removal
For the reduction/removal of unwanted hair, an IPL E-light machine is used. The system used delivers electrical energy, pulsed at the same frequency as radio waves, which is known as radio frequency current. This radio frequency energy is used, combined with intense pulsed light - known as E-light.
E-light has the benefit of causing less discomfort than intense pulsed light alone and can be used on some darker skin types.
The E-light hair removal system is designed to target and destroy the hair follicle. When a follicle has been successfully destroyed it can never be replaced.
Usually a course of 4-6 treatments is needed for client satisfaction. Treatments are carried out 4-8 weeks apart, depending on the body area's particular growth cycle.
Carbon Facial/Black Doll
This treatment is carried out using the Q-switch laser. A special carbon paste is applied to areas of your face, excluding an area around your eyes and margin around your mouth. The carbon paste is then allowed to dry and during this time will be absorbed by the superficial dead skin cells of your face.
A laser with a very short pulses is used to interact with the paste which causes the carbon to vaporise along with the dead skin cells. The skin will appear fresher and the skin's pore size will reduce. Often blackheads and whiteheads are removed by the treatment. A series of treatments will induce the deeper layers of the skin to produce new collagen that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Whilst each impact on the skin from the laser will cause a slight tingling sensation, there is no pain associated with carbon treatment.
The carbon laser facial is often used as a one-off treatment to freshen the complexion of a client going to a special event, such as a wedding. In such cases, the treatment is usually carried out one week in advance.
For collagen regeneration, treatment is usually carried out as 1 or 2 per month for at least 6 months.
Our skin rejuvenation treatment is designed to help reduce the appearance of a number of specific skin problems. Our E-light system has the ability to interact with blood vessels, causing the release of chemicals which stimulate the production of new collagen fibres - reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
It is also an ideal treatment for tightening of the skin. As well as being able to reduce the look of sun spots, rosacea birthmarks, thread veins, age pigmentation spots, this treatment could really help restore the condition of your skin.
Treatments can be carried out 2 weeks apart. This should be carried out at least once per month and a minimum of 6 treatments is usually required for effective results.
This treatment is used to treat active acne infection. Using the latest in technology IPL machine, this procedure safely and effectively reduces the number and severity of the active acne lesions, lessening the inflammation and frequency of break-outs.
The light emitted from the intense pulsed light system directly targets overactive sebaceous glands. Thist stimulates the production of new collagen to improve skin texture and can also reduce the appearance of red or brown areas of skin that are often associated with acne breakouts.
Treatments may be carried out every two weeks until improvement is noted.
